Going to Cali

I am going to visit some family in San Diego.  Too bad the Ocean there is going to be too cold when I go.  I guess the good thing about it is I won’t have to show off my back acne.  I came down with acne breakouts all over my back about 2 months ago, and can’t seem to get rid of them.  I did a little research and I think it is actually folliculitis.  I have been trying some over the counter acne medications and they don’t seem to be having much effect.  I found a list of some good home remedies for folliculitis that I am going to try once I get back from San Diego.  I really hate the all the itching!

The internet is one of the best places to find recipes. Most of those great refrigerators with the built in television screen and internet connection are set up to find recipes on the internet. Many sites are devoted to things like a banana bread recipe, cheesecake, and other delicious desserts. One thing I really enjoy is some banana bread. My family loves it too. It is the one bread I make and everyone tries some. They just can’t get enough of it and frankly neither can I! The recipe is rather easy to make and the ingredients can be found anywhere.

I have been looking into preschools for my son who just turned four. I was really impressed by this one that I looked into because they had a really different approach to teaching. They also had the coolest promotional products. They had preschool toys that were labeled with their logo that we could take home. I have come across many promotional products in my time and I have never seen ones as cool and as creative as these. They obviously had to spend a little more money than if they were to buy some pens or something but it does make an impression. So much so that I have decided that I will be sending my son here to school.

My husband is a fiercely independent man who prides himself on taking care of his responsibilities.  He believes in the old-fashioned virtues of honoring contracts and debts.  When we both lost our jobs and also had other sudden expenses, he was determined that he would find a way to pay the bills.  As much as he hated to ask for help, he agreed to work with a local debt management company who provided debt help.  Once they explained that they could negotiate low interest rates so we could pay back our debts, my husband agreed, since he felt we are paying for what we used.  It’s been almost a year and we’ll be debt-free within three more years, even with our new, lower-paying jobs.

Our youth group has recently acquired an old store front building to use for it’s activities.  After we cleaned up and painted the walls with things more appropriate for youth functions our next addition was to purchase stacking chairs and folding tables for banquets.    It is not that we will hold that many banquets there but they are so versatile in how they can be used.    We can use a few of them for arts and crafts and then if we are having a big do,  can move in more of them and have a fancy set down dinner for everyone.

The Internet is quite an invention for streamlining the making of purchases. You can literally sit in your pajamas and order products that will be sent straight to your door. I recently found that this is a great way to shop for childrens furniture. I don’t like going into those huge stores where there is always a salesman breathing down my neck.
