Enjoy what you already have

You usually can’t do too much to alter the shell of a rental apartment, but this one was in really bad shape. The solution? Covering every surface with fresh paint, art, photography, sculpture and color — including the floors!! We have, for example a plethora of our new york city wedding photography in bright, contrasting frames, and we hung them all salon style in the parlor to make it look like a real art installation. This proves the point that you do not need to look far for art. You probably already have tons of it. Just think about it with a different eye.

Not content to simply set off the parlor from the main room, we also used a subtle pairing of pale gray and white paint to add dimension to the kitchen’s structural elements.  Beautiful, affordable, and an easily renewed resource, existing art in found frames has become a popular “green” alternative for the home.
