15 year old female pedestrian with herniated disc from motor vehicle accident

This pedestrian accident case involves a young 15 year old girl.  She was crossing the street when a motor vehicle slammed into her.  According to the driver of that motor vehicle, the 15 year old girl darted out in front of him preventing him from avoiding the accident.  The driver also claimed that the 15 year old girl tried to cross the street against the light.  The parties in this matter were unable to reach a settlement agreement and the case therefore went to trial.  The jury heard both the case presented from both perspectives.  The jury also heard how the 15 year old girl suffered a herniated disc that required chiropractic care for four months.  The law firm handling the case reported the jury returned a verdict of $550,000.
