Look for Files in the Recycle Bin

Before losing sleep over a deleted file, there are a few steps that may put your mind at ease. First, make sure that you do not have the item saved. Sometimes, you may have thought you saved your file under one name but it ends up being saved under another name or even in another location. After you have checked your saved files, try looking in the recycling bin to make sure that you did not delete the files by mistake. This is a highly potential mistake that anyone could make unknowingly. I have deleted items on accident several times and found that the items I deleted were still located in the recycle bin.
