Tips on Replacing a Gable Exhaust Fan

I am not a particularly handy person, so when my wife suggested that I go upstairs and check out the blower system, I was not thrilled at all.  She had noticed that it quit working, and I had to admit that our home was miserably hot now.  Luckily I realized that a gable exhaust fan was not too difficult to replace.  All I needed was a few basic tools, some gloves, and pants and a long sleeved shirt for protection.  There sure is a lot of insulation up there, which adds to the usual efficiency of our home.  It only took a few minutes to replace the unit.
