Condominiums In Downtown Toronto Have Lost A Major Building Project

September 25, 2009 on 10:45 am | By | In Home | No Comments

Not long ago the face of existing condominiums in downtown Toronto was set to change with the creation of the tallest condo building in the city.  The frenzy and the hype that built up prior to the units going on sale was nothing short of crazy.  Hundreds of people lined up around the block and even real estate agents were not immune.  Some agents even paid students to wait in line in order to be able to reserve addition units either for themselves or for clients.  That was a few years ago and all of that effort has been wasted.  The developer was unable to secure the financing needs to start the project due in part to the mortgage crisis in the United States.  The site will now be changed into a mixed commercial and residential square.
