Day Trading Internet Speed Explained

February 9, 2012 on 2:48 pm | By | In Investing | Comments Off

Day trading relies so much on the internet. Both its download and upload speeds are important. When either of the two has a poor performance, expect to get hit by setbacks and losses with any ongoing trades. The download speed of your day trading internet determines the rate at which your computer and trading platform receives information. If it’s slow, your market feeds will be delayed and might end up making the wrong decisions. The upload speed of your internet determines how fast you can place actions on the platform, like buying or selling stocks. The slightest delay can cost you hundreds to thousands of dollars in losses.
