In a forum that was headed by government officials and business owners in the uk in the year 2009, business owners proposed that they get covered through the unemployment benefits act following the current deteriorating business shape in the country. The unemployment benefits for business owners that was requested had to be discussed by the government and it was decided that business executives are covered except those who own at least 10% of the company. Though this was not perceived well by the business owner fraternity, according to an unemployment benefit department official, this was a fair deal and he said that those businessmen should not fear of closure of their companies. Most organizations in the uk are now growing following the stability of the economy despite the fact that a multi-national company like British Petroleum (BP) faced a recent crisis following the burst of its pipes.
