When To Use A Laser Cutter

September 9, 2009 on 5:13 am | By | In Technology | No Comments

One of the main advantages of using laser cutters over more tradition forms of cutting is that you do not need any kind of physical contact to make the cut.  As you are using a high powered laser that works with heat you do not have an actual cutting edge that can become dull and worn with too much use.  When you use a cutting edge you also run the risk of the material becoming contaminated by the edge or the edge becoming contaminated by the material.  There are many materials that are very difficult to cut by traditional means which increases the risk of such things happening.
